What we store on your device
The Ballpark saves your game progress, results and stats in your browser's local storage so they're there when you come back. This stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What we collect
When you finish a daily puzzle, your score and a random ID created by your browser are sent to our server. This lets us show how your score compares with other players and stops the same browser being counted twice. We don't collect your name, email or any other personal details with it. If you're signed in, the score is also linked to your account (see below).
Accounts
You can play without an account. If you create one, we store your email, your username, a scrambled (hashed) version of your password that can't be turned back into the password, and the score from your first go at each daily puzzle. Your username and monthly points are shown publicly on the leaderboard. Your email is never shown to anyone and is only used for your account. A cookie keeps you signed in for up to 90 days.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Changes
If we add advertising or analytics, we'll update this page first and explain what changes.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time. This removes your email, username, password and leaderboard scores. Your stats saved on this device stay.
